We had such a great time last night bowling with the Grove youth group. The scores were low BUT, the fun level was high!

THROW IN THE TOWEL
Do you ever want to just quit?
Would it not be easier to just throw in the towel than to keep fighting for what's right?
Sometimes I get that way...
Why push, why blaze new trails, why keep the fire lit?
Because that is what we are supposed to do...
If life was all about what felt good or what was comfortable, we would have a chaotic society.
If it was encouraged to quit when the going got tough, where would stability be?
How would things get done?
God needs one person to get excited for Him
Who will that someone be?

NEW CLASSES
I am thrilled!
I just got my new book I will be teaching from this fall.
Amy and I are going to split up the boys and girls in the SWAT group...
She is doing a study on prayer with the girls and the boys and I
are going over leadership - public prayer, devotionals, song leading, etc.
I cannot wait!

FUNERALS
I have had the privilege of being involved in three funerals in the past month...
That may sound morbid but these were funerals of the good kind
Three young people have put Christ on in baptism - 2 at church, 1 at camp...
The funeral, of course, is the death of the old person and the new life that is born.
This can only be found in one person - Jesus Christ!
Romans 6:3-4 - - -We accept the blood through His death and we receive the blood by baptism into His death...What a wonderful God that we have.

MINI CAMP
What an enjoyable time this was!!!! We really had fun learning about God (Heb. 10:19-25) and swimming and singing!

The kids had a great time at Burnt Cabin - 11 in total went...and came back on fire for God!
